MF Ceilings and Partitions

If you have a problem ceiling which is out of level, damaged or failing lathe and plaster, often the best solution is to install an MF ceiling. This is a metal frame that can be fitted just under the original ceiling, perfectly levelled with a laser level. The metal frame is then plasterboarded as usual and can either have a taped and jointed finish or be plastered. This system also allows cables and pipework to be run above the ceiling and can also include extra thermal and sound insulation.

MF CEILINGS AND PARTITIONS,

SURREY

We were commissioned to install Domestic MF ceilings and feature walls within a bespoke new luxury build in Surrey. This project was one of the most challenging we have undertaken, but the results are amazing. The team’s dedication to achieving a perfect finish really paid off here.
Many rooms within the build had ‘feature walls’. We constructed these using Gypliner metal system. A light trough detail was required to showcase artwork. These had to be accurately installed and we achieved this by using laser levels.
The MF ceiling on the first floor had mirrored upstand detailing inside the skylight areas. Again, a crisp, clean, level finish was required. Angle beads were installed by us, and we used our laser level to ensure a perfect finish. The walls were lined with gypliner system and plasterboarded. A cavity behind allowed extra insulation to be installed.
