Case study – West Meon Service Station

The area at West Meon Service Station consisted of a large meterage of 300m2, which required the installation of the grid separately. The job was to be completed out of hours, with a tight deadline of which we were allocated 1 weekend to install the grid. The installation of the grid only first, was to allow the on site electricians to install the modular lighting before the tiles were put in place. We returned a week later to tile the area. Standard 24mm Donn grid and Armstrong dune tegular tiles were specified. As the ceiling height was under 3m, we were able to use stilts to install the grid and tile ceiling. We were required to supply method statement and risk assessments to the main contractor before work commenced.
